The Ethiopian town that's home to world-class athletes | Al Jazeera English

( Mar 27, (Bekoji))--World class athletes born and bred in this remote rural community are inspiring a new generation of sports enthusiasts. Bekoji is a small, rural town in central Ethiopia, and at least eight Olympic medallists, world title and world record holders come from there.

Their accomplishments are inspiring a new generation to do the same: to leave rural town life and make it onto the world's sporting stage. Al Jazeera's Stefanie Dekker reports from Bekoji, central Ethiopia.
