(May 24, 2016, (Addis Ababa))--Millions of Ethiopians cast their votes Sunday in the first national election since the 2012 death of longtime leader Meles Zenawi. People cast their ballots for the 5th Ethiopian general election at a
polling station in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on May 24, 2015. Polls have
opened in Ethiopia for the general election, nearly 37 million
Ethiopians have registered to vote and they are casting their ballots at
tens of thousands of polling stations across the country.
