Ethiopian Jews hold fresh rally against Israeli police brutality

(May 19, 2015, (PressTV News Videos))--Israeli forces have clashed with Ethiopian Jews who are back on Tel Aviv streets to denounce rampant racial discrimination against them.

The scuffles erupted as some protesters tried to block roads around the city’s Rabin Square. Demonstrators chanted slogans such as - no more oppression, no more violence and no more discrimination. Ethiopian Jews have staged several rallies against police violence and racism in recent weeks. Many of those gatherings turned violent after police used force against the protesters.

Ethiopian Jews have long complained about unfair treatment in Israel. Earlier this month, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met members of the community in a bid to ease tensions after a video emerged, showing an Ethiopian man being beaten by Israeli forces.
